Hi, I'm Mia! I hope you like my photos!
Are you tired of reading photographer bios yet? I'll try to keep this one simple!
I'm an Arkansas native who has been shooting professionally since 2014. I started out with a little Nikon DSLR I bought during my time as a hitchhiker/trainhopper/van lifer. My traveling friends started calling me "The Nikon Kidd," as an homage to the famous "Polaroid Kid" who roamed the rails a generation before I did.
At first, I just wanted something to remember my trips and the people I met along the way. Soon I began shooting and writing for various travel blogs and magazines including Petapixel, The Plaid Zebra, and Matador.
Eventually I returned home and settled into doing something I had always adored: wedding photography! It's the perfect blend of photography, people, and adventure!
I've since upgraded cameras and I drive a van with a few less rust holes, but I've still got an adventurous spirit and love for telling stories.
Let me tell yours!
