About Mia Quain Dark Dreamy Pacific Northwest Wedding Photographer

Hi, I'm Mia! I hope you like my photos!

I'm an Arkansas native with a love for rain, fog, moss, moody film photography, and big trees. I'm based in Port Townsend and the Pacific Northwest and travel the country in my van telling stories through photography!

I've been doing this for a long time. In 2014 I started out with a little Nikon DSLR I bought while hitchhiking in the American West. My traveling friends started calling me "The Nikon Kidd," as an homage to the famous "Polaroid Kid" who roamed the rails a generation before I did.

At first, I just wanted something to remember my trips and the people I met along the way. Soon I began shooting and writing for various travel blogs and magazines including Petapixel, The Plaid Zebra, and Matador.

Eventually I settled into doing something I had always adored: wedding photography! It's the perfect blend of photography, people, and adventure!

I've since upgraded cameras and I drive a van with a few less rust holes, but I've still got an adventurous spirit and love for telling stories.

Let me tell yours!

P.S. These photos were make and edited WITHOUT the use of generative AI. Human memories should be made by humans.
